About our Family Concerts

The Cayuga Chamber Orchestra has been proud to present a number of Family and Children's Concerts over the years.  If your school, organization, or community group is interested in bringing one of our Children’s or Family programs to your area, please contact us.

Our commitment to continue having musicians visit area schools remains as strong today as it has always been, but we can’t do it alone.  We need your help in order to continue our Education & Community Engagement programs.  Please visit the “Be Involved” page for more information.

The CCO, long dedicated to bringing the live music experience to young and new audiences, is excited to be hosted by the Presbyterian Church of Cortland for a Family run-out concert on Sunday, October 28th at 3PM.  A quintet of CCO musicians, joined by Steven Stull, will perform Peter and the Wolf, a classic gem of the repertoire that is terrific for all ages.

Sunday, October 28, 2012
Presbyterian Church of Cortland
25 Church Street, Cortland, NY

Known for combining great story-telling with an accessible introduction to various instruments in the orchestra, this free performance will be a perfect opportunity for parents and grandparents to introduce their young ones to classical music in an interactive and fun setting.

Pre-concert activities plus a post-concert reception and "instrument petting zoo" where kids will get to see and hear the instruments up close - maybe even try a few notes themselves! - will make this a great activity for the whole family.  Spread the word and join the fun at the Presbyterian Church in Cortland as the CCO reaches out to new audiences!

Sunday, October 28th, 2012
Pre-concert activities begin at 2:15 PM
Concert begins at 3:00 PM
