Benjamin Dettelback

Benjamin Dettelback became a member of the Cayuga Chamber Orchestra while completing his Bachelors degree at the Eastman School of Music in 2018. Later that year, he was appointed to the same position at Symphoria! (the successor organization to the Syracuse Symphony). Dettelback has also been fortunate to perform with the Buffalo Philharmonic, Rochester Philharmonic, Princeton Symphony, National Orchestral Institute, American Institute of Musical Study (Graz, Austria) and the Clinton Symphony Orchestra. In 2018 Dettelback was named a finalist in the International Trombone Association Alto Trombone Competition. In addition to studies with Larry Zalkind at the Eastman School of Music, he completed a Masters degree at Yale University where he studied with Scott Hartman.
