Fantasies

Saturday, October 10, 2026 at 7:30 pm

Ford Hall, Ithaca College

Pre-concert Chat at 6:30 pm

Don Giovanni’s Overture opens with a warning, but there are no stone guests to fear in Jessie Jones’s Tune Book—only an irresistible series of romps and, well, tunes, featuring the extraordinary Jacob Jolliff on mandolin. Karel Husa, the great Czech composer who founded our orchestra fifty years ago, is honored with his remarkable Fantasies. Sergei Prokofiev closes the program with his Classical Symphony, a fantastical love letter to the wit, tricks, and charms of the classical style.
