Steven Harmon is currently a freelance horn player based in the Hudson Valley, NY. Having made his professional debut with the San Francisco Symphony, he currently holds the position of Principal Horn with the Reading Symphony Orchestra, Princeton Symphony Orchestra, Symphony New Hampshire, Cayuga Chamber Orchestra, and the Fenimore Chamber Orchestra, as well as Fourth Horn of the Binghamton Philharmonic. In addition, Harmon is regularly invited to perform throughout the country with orchestras including the Albany Symphony Orchestra, the Portland Symphony, the Maryland Symphony Orchestra, the New World Symphony, the Orchestra San Antonio, the New Haven Symphony, and others.

Originally from Santa Monica, California, Harmon began his horn career at age 12 and holds degrees from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Yale School of Music and Bard College. Harmon owes everything to his horn teachers, William Purvis, Kevin Rivard, Bruce Roberts, Teag Reaves, Dr. Annie Bosler, and to the support of his parents, grandparents and family. When he is not playing his horn, his favorite things to do are spend time with his friends, explore the outdoors, and find good coffee to drink.
